Five Tips
For Fixing Credit - Credit Repair Essentials

Credit is not
written in stone, it is static and it can change depending on
you. You need to be willing to take your credit in your hands
and begin fixing it.
When you do, you
will find life is much easier as you can easily get credit,
with loan terms and interest rates that are highly favorable to
you.
To implement
credit repair, you just need to follow
these five
tips.

1. Pay your bills on time. This is very
important when you are trying to implement credit repair
strategies. Your payment history makes up 35 percent of your
credit score, and if you have a history of paying your bills on
time, your credit rating will go up very quickly.
Generally, you will need to pay your bills on time for about
one year to a year and a half. After this, your past late
payments will not show up on your credit report.
2. Check for credit errors. This is
also very important, but sadly very few people do it. Studies
have shown that roughly 75 percent of all credit
reports have errors on them.
These errors could be duplicate entries, incorrect entry
amounts and even a failure to show payment on something you
paid.
Fixing credit errors, when you have the right documentation,
can be very easy to do, so get a copy of your credit report and
look for errors.
Fixing one error on your credit report could bring your credit
rating up 50 points.
3. Watch your available credit. You
want to make sure you only use 30 percent of your available
credit, or even less than that.
If you are using too much of your available credit, and then
not paying it off, it will look very poorly on your credit
report.
Instead of using 50 percent, don’t purchase anything else until
you have lowered that percentage by half.
That way, you can show you can pay bills, while only using the
portion of the credit you need.
Creditors do not want someone who uses all their available
credit simply because they can.
4. Limit your credit cards. This is
another important one. If you have one credit card, then get a
department store credit card to help establish a good credit
base on your credit report.
This is an essential step in the credit repair
process.
Even if you do not use it, the important thing is that you have
at least two credit cards.
If you have five credit cards, pay off the two with the highest
interest rate and limit yourself to only three.
You should only have two to three credit cards on your credit
report.
5. Budget yourself accordingly. By
knowing how much money you make, and how much you spend, will
help you keep your credit in check by always making sure it is
paid off.
Budgeting will help free up vast amounts of money for you.
Think of how much a five dollar latte costs you every day of
the year; over $1,000!
Credit
repair is easily done if you want to do it, and you follow
these simple steps to a better credit score.
